Got a question about your Glowcose Light? Below are quick answers to the most common setup and usage questions.
How do I change the brightness?
Press the button on the back of the Glowcose Light to cycle through five brightness levels.
What colours does the Glowcose Light display?
The light uses a simple colour system that anyone in the family can understand at a glance.
- Red means low
- Green means in range
- Orange or yellow indicates a rising or falling trend
- Purple means high
The Glowcose Light uses addressable RGB lighting, allowing smooth colour transitions between glucose ranges.
Can I use more than one Glowcose Light?
Yes. Multiple Glowcose Lights can connect to the same account and be placed in different rooms or locations. This is ideal for keeping family members, school staff, or carers informed without needing access to a phone.
Which CGM devices is it compatible with?
Glowcose works with Dexcom G6, Dexcom G7, FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 3, Medtronic and Nightscout. Dexcom uses the Share platform. FreeStyle Libre uses LinkUp. A compatible CGM account and WiFi connection are required.
How often does the colour update?
The Glowcose Light updates approximately every 2 minutes using the latest reading available from the CGM cloud.
Will it remember my WiFi settings?
Yes. The Glowcose Light automatically reconnects to your saved WiFi network after being unplugged.
How do I reset my Glowcose Light?
- Unplug the USB cable.
- Hold the brightness button on the back of the light.
- While holding the button, reconnect the USB cable.
- Keep holding until the light flashes red three times.
- Release the button. The light is now fully reset to factory settings.

I cannot connect to the Glowcose WiFi network
Connect to the Glowcose WiFi network, then open a browser and go to:
192.168.4.1
This will open the setup page.

Why is my light pulsing yellow?
This usually means the Device Connection code is incorrect.
Visit www.glowcose.io to check your code.
If the problem continues, a firmware update may help: glowcose.com/upgrade
