As a parent of a young child with Type 1 diabetes, I know first-hand how overwhelming diabetes care can feel. I’m Paul McCaw, and I founded Lewcose to make blood sugar monitoring simpler, clearer, and easier for families like mine... and yours.
From Constant Worry to Everyday Confidence
Every parent managing diabetes has experienced the stress of checking apps, reading CGM numbers, and trying to interpret what’s urgent. We rely on our phones and alerts, but I knew there had to be a more visual, less stressful way to monitor glucose in real time.
As a self-confessed tech nerd from my other business, Subbytech.com, I searched for a solution online to help us out... and that's when I found it.
A simple light that glows green when blood sugar is in range, blue when rising, purple when high, and red when low, with flashing alerts for urgent highs and lows, so you’re always aware. No beeping. No constant phone-checking. Just a gentle glowing colour you can see at a glance. RESULT!!
Bringing the Glowcose Light to the UK
With a background in tech and product strategy, I contacted the US manufacturer directly. After testing the product in my own home, I knew I had to make it available to other UK families, with UK-based support, faster shipping, and a dedicated presence here.
So I launched Lewcose, now the UK home of the Glowcose Light.
